Day 22 - Waves in 2D









A little background reading for the next session: it's hard to find one article that sums up all of the important points succinctly but there's a readable account of Huygens' principle here on an html version of Benjamin Crowell's optics text book. You can download the full pdf version of the book from that site and from a brief browse, I'd say that it could be a valuable resource.
There are some nice slides that illustrate Huygens' theories on this powerpoint which I found on the website of a baptist school in Waco. Oh yes, I leave no stone unturned. There are also assessment questions. I doubt the presentation originated there but it's worth a read. I doubt, from the school's website, that we'd find such quality resources on the topics of evolution or cosmology...
